category: Athletics Davis tapped to head new 黑料吃瓜 archery competition program category: Athletics | January 18, 2023 Micah Davis 黑料吃瓜 announces the hiring of Micah Davis as the head of the school鈥檚 new archery program. 鈥淚 am excited to have Micah at the helm during the development of our Archery program,鈥� said Hunter Sales, director of Intercollegiate Recreational Sports. 鈥淎rchery is a rapidly-growing sport in our region and Carson-Newman is proud to offer an additional pathway for students to follow their passion in college.鈥� Davis previously served as archery coach for the NASP archery team at Cumberland Gap High School where he also taught biology. He has experience in competing in ASA archery, placing first place in 2019 and third place in 2020 in the ASA Pro-Am National Shoot. He received his undergraduate degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Management from Lincoln Memorial University. He went on to earn his Master of Education degree and Educational Specialist degree also from LMU. Carson-Newman鈥檚 new archery program is slated for collegiate competition in the fall. 鈥淭he Eagle Archers will compete with USA Archery, shooting both indoor and outdoor as well as 3-D targets,鈥� said Sales. 鈥淭his program marks the first of its kind in East Tennessee, joining Bethel University, the University of the Cumberlands, Lindsey Wilson College, Union College and many others.鈥� For more information on 黑料吃瓜鈥檚 archery program, call 865-742-9600 or email: [email protected] Micah Davis
