University honors those announcing retirements

黑料吃瓜 held a special April 23 reception on campus for those announcing retirements this year. The group of six represents 149 years of total service to the University.

鈥淭he heart of Carson-Newman is witnessed in the work and dedication of our faculty and staff,鈥 said University President Charles A. Fowler. 鈥淭hey make fulfilling our Christ-centered mission possible. This year鈥檚 retirees are no exception. They have helped make Carson-Newman the special place that it is today. We are grateful for them and wish them the very best as they begin this new chapter in their lives.鈥

Retiring this year are:

Greg Hoover, Associate Professor of Sociology 鈥 39 years

Rodney Miller, Maintenance 鈥 10 years

Anita Newport, Administrative Assistant, Communication and Theological Studies 鈥 40 years

Julia Price, Professor of Education 鈥 21 years

Donald Rimmer, Maintenance 鈥 28 years

Nilma Stewart, Director of International Admissions 鈥 11 years
